Last night when I was driving home a rock hit my windshield and gave me a nice crack about the size of a nickel. I wasn't a happy camper to say the least. When I got home I put on the windshield sticker on the crack. This morning at 9:30am I called the claims department to file a glass claim. The process was easy and they gave me the option to take my car somewhere or they would come out to me. I was so happy to hear that because it is not easy for me to take off work to go there.... like many other people who work.

I was given the choice to take it anywhere I wanted or they gave me the list of 3 companies. The second one they listed was Glass America, which I decided on because they have stopped by our office from time to time.

Glass America said that they would be out today or tomorrow depending on the weather (It has been raining). I was called about 1:30pm today to say they would be here in 30 mins. When they got here they called and I came down to let them in the parking garage. He told me I could go back to my office and to come back in 20 mins. I went downstairs and was shocked that my windshield looked awesome. There was a tiny pinhole mark on the windshield
compare to the nickel size crack I had before. The other thing that really
impressed me was that the guy from Glass America noticed the paint was chipping off the base of my windshield wipers. He had some black car paint in his truck and decided while he was waiting for me to come back down he would touch up my wipers. I really appreciated that little extra something.

That crack happened less then 24 hours ago and it is all done.

I really thought this crack in my windshield was going to be such an
inconvenient thing that I would have to deal with today. It was the complete opposite. The strange thing that happened was one of my clients called a bit bummed because he was just driving his car and a rock hit his windshield. I told him that I just had to deal with the same thing today. He asked me what to do and I got to tell him first hand how impressed I was about the claims process. His attitude changed and was so glad to hear when I said they would come out to him to get the repair done. He said that was extremely important to him and I told him I know how he feels.
